A client is committed to getting smarter with her Outlook management and is de-cluttering her inbox today and asked how she can view only unopened emails so she can run my email triage/action process on them.
It is simple. But not everyone knows. So here’s how …
2 ways I use:
- For Keyboard Ninjas: In the search box on top right of the inbox view simply type: read:no This searches the current folder then whole inbox
- For rodent lovers and touchy, feely pad users: Highlight the folder you want to search > Place your cursor in the search box > ‘The Search Tools’ ribbon is activated > Hit the ‘Unread’ icon in the ‘Refine’ area.
Er, that’s it.
