Keep calm and carry on

Boy, you guys are quick! Well done Anders for making the connection between my ‘Keep Calm and carry on’ phrase in my ‘Winning in the ruthless reality of 2009’ post and James May’s tshirt in last night’s UK television programme ‘Oz and James drink to Britain’.

This is a reproduction of the 1939 British Ministry of Information poster. What worked in those trying times can work well now!

By the way, I was introduced to this poster at the November meeting of my local IoD branch by our excellent chairman, Chris Ragg. I strongly advocate the Institute Of Directors – especially our West Surrey branch. If any of you are local to Guildford and want to join me as a guest for our 0859 club on the last Friday of each month (0715 to 0859 with breakfast), please get in touch.

Please note that Barter Books (Home of the surviving original World War II Keep Calm poster) only endorses Keep Calm T-shirts bought from their own shop in Alnwick and those lovingly made by Yes No Maybe, the UK based urban fashion label.
