‘Too late is too easy when we are too free with our time’ – Richard Maybury
How often do you deliver a critical result by the skin of your teeth because others did not deliver on their earlier commitments to you? How often have you made a deadline only by a Herculean last minute effort? Why do these things happen? Simple, because you – and everyone else you depend upon – are incredibly busy ……
Most people have too much to do. In reality, almost everyone places too low a value on the limited amount of time they have available for their critical results within a demanding day. Their Time Management suffers because they are almost too available to everything.
Isolated tips and tricks do not build a sustainable, robust workload and results management platform. For proven, practical, sustainable and scalable productivity training Call me on 0044 (0)1428 607763 or fill in the enquiry form here
Yes Conrad, I agree. Even if a ‘NO!’ is not possible, it is always possible to do what I call a ‘Specific later’ and say something like ‘Not now but I can let you have it before 15:30 tomorrow’
Hi Richard,
This is so true.
I’m sure many business owners need to use that ‘NO’ much more often than they do which will free them up to focus on the important rather than urgent things.
